2006 Senate Bill 418, effective July 1,2006 (referred to here as the “CCH Law”), requires an applicant for a concealed handgun license to complete 8 hours of course instruction on weapons safety, approved by the Kansas Attorney General (“AG”) in the following areas:  (a) safe storage of weapons, (b) actual firing of weapons, and (c) instruction in the laws of the State of Kansas governing the carrying of a concealed weapon and the use of deadly force.  Legal issues relating to the use of deadly force, includes criminal and civil legal principles that will be incorporated into other areas of required training, especially the portion of this course dealing with mental conditioning for the use of deadly force and making judgments on the use of force. Our course meets all the Kansas requirements.  When you have satisfactorily completed the course, we will give you a certificate of completion and send an affidavit of completion to KS AG office within 10 days as required by the law.
