Wallace Weber has been shooting ever since sitting in his father’s lap on the family farm in the late 1940s and directing a .22 in the general direction of a jack rabbit.  He has competed individually and on many marksmanship teams including as an ROTC cadet, a Kansas state civilian rifle team at the National Matches, and as a member of the All US Army Reserve Rifle Team.  In addition, he has instructed rifle, pistol and shotgun to groups from 4-H Shooting Sports to members of the US Armed Forces and was a member on the All US Army Reserve Mobile Training Team.  Currently he is an NRA certified instructor in Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun and is an NRA certified Range Safety Officer.  He was in the first CCH Instructor Course offered by the Kansas AG office, completing his training and receiving one of the first Kansas CCH instructor certificates on June 21, 2006.

Wallace, who retired from the Army Medical Corps as a full Colonel in 2003, is a combat zone veteran of the First Gulf War where he served as a flight surgeon with the 82nd Airborne Division in Iraq. He is also retired from the private practice of Dermatology in Central and western Kansas and now lectures and consults in the state of Kansas on issues of Bioterrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Emerging Infections such as Avian Influenza and West Nile.

Judith Bowers is a Kansas Certified Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor as well as NRA Certified Pistol Instructor and shares in the instructional activities of the course.Judith is also a retired US Army Colonel.  She has extensive experience as a leader, educator and mentor in varied areas for the military, the Department of Veterans Affairs, universities and professional organizations.
